About 4pm today Aaron Artis came by to grab some grip for his board and said he was going to the San Pedro Skatepark. I decided to grab the camera and go check it out. When I got there Robbie and Andy were there skating and a few other people so it was a pretty good session. Damn Aaron killed that place! I had seen a shot of him in Thrasher or something there in the other part of the skatepark a few months ago and thought that was pretty dope. Well today he was going for Back Lips on the extension and managed to loosen 2 pieces of the coping so they had to be taken off. This didnt stop Aaron he just kept at it until he landed it with one remaining piece of coping on the extension which was pretty cool. After that he started eyeballing the hip to flat gap which blew everybodys minds when he tried it the first time and got close to landing it. Basically on this one you launch over the hip, land in the flat by the pillar and have about one foot to step off into the hill which has rebarb on it. Good times here aaron landed it like that a few time and then somehow managed to pull his board around and keep going in the bowl. Enough rambling you gotta check this place out for yourself!
